In this lesson you will learn to correctly
1. Identify subjects, verbs and objects in sentences
2. Write original sentences containing subjects, verbs and objects.
As part of this lesson, you will practice identifying the subject, verb and objects of sentences using your iPad application Pages. You can see an example at the bottom of this page.
Step 1: Watch these two videos for homework.
Step 2: Do the practice activities in these three links after finish watching the videos.
Step 3: In class, do the cut-up sentence activity. Your instructor will demonstrate.
Step 4: Do the iPad 'drag and drop' activity. Your instructor will demonstrate.
Step 5: Working together with a partner, write three original sentences. Identify the subjects, verbs and objects in each sentence.
Step 6: Post your sentences as a comment on the class website. Vote for the best sentences!
Step 7: For homework, write three more original, true [about your life] sentences. Create a Pages page along with a photo for each sentence. Email this to your instructor.
